A poet, a botanist, a visual artist, and a musician, she is an assistant professor at the Department of Forest Botany of The Warsaw University of Life Sciences. She’s studying the growth, anatomy, movements, and death of plants, as well as doing research on their aerodynamics and biomechanics. Her debut Atomy (2014) was nominated for the Silesius poetic prize. In 2017, she put out minimum, which was also nominated for Silesius and K. I. Gałczyński awards, and received the Kościelski Award. In the same year, she collaborated with other artists on the Cambium Killers project, which was to be a protest against the credit system in research. Inspired by Goethe’s Versuch die Metamorphose der Pflanzen zu erklären, her film, Metamorphosis of Plants, received the prize for the best experimental film/animation during the Scinema International Science Film Festival and at the Miami Light Project. A columnist for dwutygodnik.com, she collaborates with the Przekrój quarterly. She lives in Wołomin.
