He graduated from the University of Warsaw, receiving degrees in Ukrainian and cultural studies. He is collaborating with Tygodnik Powszechny. He is the author of the historical reportage Pirat stepowy. For his collection of essays Dwanaście srok za ogon, he received the 2017 readers choice Nike Award, the nomination for the Paszport Polityki in 2016, and the Nagroda Literacka Gdynia award in 2017. In 2020, the book was translated into English. He is a nature trail guide and a blogger (dzikaochota.com). He lives in Warsaw.
