He writes about science for Gazeta Wyborcza, concentrating on climate changes, environment, wildlife, evolution of man, Earth, and the universe. He has translated two books – Breasts: A Natural and Unnatural History by Florence Williams and Blood and Thunder: An Epic of the American West by Hampton Sides – and written two more. In 2016, with Bogusław Pawłowski, he wrote Nagi umysł. Dlaczego jesteśmy, jacy jesteśmy. Ludzka natura bez złudzeń. In February 2020, O powstawaniu Polaków was published, in which he analyses the problem of cultural masks we superimpose on our biology. He has a severe case of ‘polar fever’ making him return to places where it is cold.
