Dewitt
He was born in 1975 on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. He worked as a worker, clerk and bartender. He debuted in 2009 with his novel Ablutions. Two years later he published Brothers Sisters. The book was enthusiastically reviewed by critics and readers. The book was on the bestseller lists. It was also nominated to the Booker Prize and the Prize Walter Scott for the best historical novel. Dewitt was also honored with the Award of the Canadian Writers 'Association, the Governor General's Literary Award and Rogers Writers' Trust Fiction Prize. His another book, Podmajordomus Minor, was also nominated for the Scotiabank Giller Prize. DeWitt is the author of the script for the movie Terri (2011).
