Daniel Danis is an Ontario-born and French-speaking Canadian playwright, he studied theatre in Conservatoire d'art dramatique in Quebec. He is a three-time winner of the Governor General’s Award: for his debut Celle-là from 1993, for Le Langue-à-Langue des chiens de roche in 2002, and in 2007 for Le chant du Dire-Dire.
