Four years in the making with the most advanced technologies and cutting-edge equipment, Anthropocene: The Human Epoch presents the influence of humans on our planet that is incomparable with any force of nature so far. The film shows the concrete seawalls in China that now cover 60% of the mainland coast of Asia, the biggest terrestrial machines ever built in Germany, the psychedelic potash mines in Russia’s Ural Mountains, and the metal containers in Norilsk. In the 50s, Holocene gave way to Anthropocene which has become our reality. Is it the end of the human race? Or the beginning of something new, not necessarily human.
